“In the Company of Wild Horses” by John Moses – An Opening Reception

The San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust, Inc., is proud to showcase In the Company of Wild Horses by John Moses at the River Center Art Gallery. Moses is an award-winning photographer, living in Fresno, California. He has been an exhibiting member of Spectrum Art Gallery since 2015 and has a studio at M Street Arts Gallery in Fresno. Moses taught writing, literature, and film studies at Fresno City College. His previous exhibitions have ranged from abstracts and architecture to landscape and wildlife. In 2023, Moses started photographing wild horses living on public lands in Nevada, Arizona, and California. His exhibit In the Company of Wild Horses includes images from seven different herd areas across those three states. Each of his encounters with these majestic, free-roaming animals gave him greater appreciation of their beauty and resilience and a deeper understanding of their complex, social behavior. Discuss these experiences with Moses himself at the opening reception on November 22nd. Light refreshments will be provided.
